Helena's husband, Louis Herman Paff, is a brother of Laura and Amelia. His father was Henry (Heinrich) Paff (Pfaff), born in Wisconsin in 1850. Henry's father was Heinrich Pfaff, born in Hessen Germany in 1812, and married a Goetz in Olberode in 1848, shortly before emigrating to the U.S.
